Quinta da Valada
Our quinta in central Portugal is a 5 minutes drive to the centre of the town Figueiró dos Vinhos.
The estate has an area of 1 hectare and is situated on a quiet country-road, surrounded by lovely fragrant eucalyptus trees, pines and the protected cork-oaks.
In this area the farmers grow mainly wine (vinho) and produce oil from old olive groves.

Life in Portugal is often spent outdoors. On the quinta you can go wherever you want to. Pick some oranges to make your own fresh orange-juice or take a relaxed stroll through the garden full of palms and  fruit trees.
The different terraces will bring you to the olive field. Follow the country-road and then through our small forest back to the house.
As daytime can be very hot, you can cool off in a hammock under a tree or take a dip in the pool (5x10m).
The pool area has a generous terrace and lawn, and a fixed barbeque.
Here you also find the greenhouse with tropical plants and flowers.

Quinta da Valada is an ideal place for a peaceful vacation. There are no close neighbours, so your privacy is guaranteed! A great spot for groups with children and a perfect base for trips to other places of interest in Portugal.

 

Casa Julio
Capacity of 6 to 10 people and in combination with Casa Maria up to 14 persons.
Casa Julio is on a ridge with a view of hills and valley.
This landhouse is fully equipped and consists of three levels.
The top floor has 2 double bedrooms and a spacious reading area with comfortable seating. Behind a dividing wall is a bed-sofa, suitable for 2 children.
The frontdoor entrance hall has access to 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with bath/shower and toilet. Double doors open up to a living-room with fireplace. The large balcony has a splendid view of the hills and valley. It is just a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee at sunrise.

Downstairs you have another toilet and shower.
Next to the recreation area (former wine-cellar) is the kitchen/dining room which is connected to the heart of the house: the spacious 50 m2 arched patio enclosed by a lush garden.
With average Portugese weather the patio is an excellent place for dining and also very pleasant in the winter sun.

Casa Maria
Capacity of Casa Maria is 2 to 4 persons. Only possible to book in combination with Casa Julio up to maximum 14 persons.
This spacious free standing holiday-house with its own entrance has sliding glazed doors overlooking the private terrace.
Casa Maria is heated by two wood burning stoves.
Our cottage has a bathroom with shower and toilet and a spacious bedroom with 2 single beds. The living-room is provided with a double bed sofa and seating for 4 persons.The terrace has a view on the impressive garden and provides access to Casa Julio and the swimming-pool.

Your arrival and departure day is on Saturday.
Shorter periods than 7 days (6 nights) or other arrival and departure days are a possibility.
Your stay longer than 3 weeks will give you a reduction.
